National Asphalte collects what you write in the quote request form, along with your photos. We use this information to estimate your project and contact you. We keep it for three years at most after our last interaction with you. The site also counts its visits, without setting any cookies. You can access your information and have it corrected by writing to info@nationalasphalte.com.
Who is responsible for your information
The president of National Asphalte is the person in charge of the protection of personal information. For any question or request, write to the president at info@nationalasphalte.com. You can also call 514‑812‑3445, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. By mail, write to 1555 boulevard de l’Avenir, Suite 306, Laval, Quebec H7S 2N5.
What the form collects, and why
The quote request form collects your name, phone number and email address. It also collects the job address, the type of work and your message. Your timeline and budget are added if you provide them. The photos you attach show the property and help us estimate your project.
We use this information first to prepare your estimate. We also use it to answer your questions and follow up on your request, and to schedule a visit if needed. Finally, it allows us to meet our legal and contractual obligations.
The site stores your request in its database and your photos in a storage space, with our hosting provider. A notice of your request arrives in our email inbox, with a link to each photo.
Forms in our Facebook and Instagram ads
This policy also covers the free estimate forms in our Facebook and Instagram ads. Such a form may collect your name, email address, phone number, postal code or address, and details about your project. Meta, which runs these ads, also receives what you write in them. We use this information for the same purposes, and we keep it under the same rules as information from the site.
Visits counted without cookies
The site counts page views and notes the page you came from. It also notes when you start filling out the form or tap the phone number, and the campaign tags in a web address (utm). The site also measures how long its pages take to load, to stay fast. These measurements show us which pages are useful and help us improve the site.
The site sets no measurement cookie in your browser. To link the pages viewed on the same day, it creates a daily code instead. This code comes from your IP address, your browser and a value that changes every day, called the salt. The site deletes the salt from past days, so the code is only valid for one day. It also links your request to the pages viewed that same day. With no measurement cookie, the site has no cookie banner to show you.
The request log
Each time a browser or a robot requests a page, the site notes the time and the page requested. It also notes the IP address and the browser, along with the page the request came from. This log shows us which robots and which AI tools read the site. It also helps protect the site from abuse.
How long we keep your information
We keep your request, your photos and the notice received in our inbox for three years at most after our last interaction with you. At the end of that period, we destroy them. We delete visit counts and speed measurements after 25 months. The request log, kept by our hosting provider, deletes itself after a few days. Only a legal obligation can lead us to keep information longer.
Who sees your information
The members of our team who handle your request see it. The people who manage the site review the visit counts and the log. Our providers also store your information for us. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, serves the site and stores your requests and your photos. It also sends the notice of each request to our email inbox, which Google runs for us. We never sell your personal information.
Where we keep your information
Cloudflare keeps everything the site collects outside Quebec. Google may also process our emails outside Quebec. Before entrusting information to a provider outside Quebec, National Asphalte assesses whether it will be adequately protected there. This is what section 17 of the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector requires. The information is sent only if the assessment shows it, and a written agreement governs what the provider does with it.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized access. The site only opens over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). In the notice of your request, each link to a photo carries a signature, and it stops working when the photo is destroyed.
