Our projects, in photos

Take a close look at our work, project by project.

These are real National Asphalte projects, photographed on site. Natural stone walls line the front of the houses. Interlocking pavers lead to the door or the garage, and asphalt covers large driveways and a commercial parking lot. Look at the joints and the edges before choosing who to trust with your property. The estimate from National Asphalte is free.

LEVEL 01 EXCAVATION

Before paving, we dig and grade

National Asphalte does the excavation and grading before laying a surface. The excavator removes the topsoil or the old asphalt, down to solid ground. Grading then gives the lot the slope that sends water away from the house. On that ground, we build the crushed stone base, then the surface.

LEVEL 03 SURFACE

Asphalt, from the paving machine to the roller

Asphalt paving gives National Asphalte its name. The crew paves a home driveway as well as a business parking lot. Asphalt forms a single surface with no joints, and the roller leaves it smooth and firm. A band of interlocking pavers can edge it for a cleaner finish.

Asphalt spread by the paving machine

Asphalt · Crushed stone

The paving machine spreads the asphalt along a low stone wall, and the crew works it with rakes. In front of the machine, the crushed stone of the base is still waiting for its layer of asphalt.

Fresh asphalt · Curb

Between the lawn and the fresh asphalt, the curb follows the side of the driveway. It holds the edge of the surface and draws a clean line along the yard.

LEVEL 03 SURFACE

Interlocking pavers, from the walkway to the garage driveway

National Asphalte lays interlocking pavers for a walkway as well as a garage driveway. Large slabs keep straight joints, and the steps can use the same pavers. The edge stays clean against the lawn or the asphalt.

Paver slabs · Wide steps

A walkway of paver slabs runs alongside the asphalt driveway. Wide steps of the same pavers connect it to the front stairs of the house.

Grey slabs · Landing of the same pavers

A walkway of grey slabs runs to the foot of the concrete stairs. At its end, a landing of the same pavers forms a step, between the lawn and a flower bed edged with pebbles.

LEVEL 04 SURROUNDINGS

Natural stone, from the wall to the door

National Asphalte builds natural stone walls and steps. The large stones hold back the soil of a flower bed or a slope. They keep their natural face.

Large stones · L-shaped wall · Steps · Low wall of flat stones

Large stones, laid in rows, form an L-shaped wall that holds back a raised flower bed. Steps of the same stone climb to the door, and a low wall of flat stones extends the wall on the side.

Common questions

Do these photos really show your projects?

Yes. Every photo on this page comes from a National Asphalte job, taken on site. You see the work just as it is, whether finished or still being laid. Tell us about your project during your free estimate.

Can you build a natural stone wall like the one in the photos?

Yes. National Asphalte works with natural stone for walls, steps, walkways and landings. Every property has its own slope and soil, so we come and see it if needed before advising you.

Do you also do the excavation before paving?

Yes. Excavation and grading are part of National Asphalte’s services. The crew digs and grades the ground. Then they build the base that will carry the asphalt or the interlocking pavers.

Do you also work for businesses and municipalities?

Yes. We take on residential, commercial, industrial and municipal jobs. The photos of our projects mostly show homes. For a parking lot or a commercial property, you request an estimate the same way, by phone or online. The estimate is still free.
